Native Presence — Action Sanctuary
Not a FAQ. A living action board: contribute with care, follow protocol, and keep Indigenous voices first.
Choose one action for today
Offer a Remembrance
Bring a story, teaching, prayer, or memory—shared with consent and care.
- 1 Name the source (nation/community/lineage) if safe to do so.
- 2 Share meaning, not private details.
- 3 Mark if it is public, community-only, or keeper-only.
Walk as a Respectful Ally
Support the sanctuary without taking space meant for Indigenous voices.
- 1 Learn the basics (no extraction, no fixing, no arguing).
- 2 Share the sanctuary with context (not as entertainment).
- 3 Support Indigenous communities offline.
Light a Digital Candle
Mark grief, gratitude, or solidarity—quietly, without explanation required.
- 1 Hold an intention.
- 2 Choose a reason (optional).
- 3 Leave it in the circle.
Kids & Families: Kindness Promise
A child-safe action: make one small promise of respect for people and land.
- 1 Choose one promise (be gentle, listen, don’t tease, care for nature).
- 2 Say it out loud with a parent/guardian (or quietly).
- 3 Do one small action today to keep the promise.
Kids & Families: Care for the Land
A simple land-care act: clean, plant, or protect a small place near you.
- 1 Pick a tiny task: pick up litter, water a plant, or make a ‘quiet corner.’
- 2 Do it with respect (don’t disturb wildlife or sacred spaces).
- 3 Leave a short note about what you did (no location details).
Add Your Nation or Territory
Naming land carefully strengthens presence without exposing anyone.
- 1 Share what you can safely name (nation, territory, community).
- 2 Optionally add a public link (official page, org, language resource).
- 3 Choose visibility level.
Share the Sanctuary
Expand the circle to those who need grounding—without turning it into content.
- 1 Share with a sentence of context: ‘A space of presence.’
- 2 Offer it privately first (DM / email) before public posts.
- 3 Invite listening, not debate.
Support Indigenous-Led Work
Reciprocity is action: money, time, skills—directed by Indigenous leadership.
- 1 Support an Indigenous-led org you trust.
- 2 Contribute skills (legal, tech, art) without expectation.
- 3 Respect local protocols for land-based giving.
Become a Sanctuary Steward
Stewardship is responsibility: uphold care, review submissions, protect integrity.
- 1 Share your lane (review, welcoming, protocol care).
- 2 Offer consistency, not visibility.
- 3 Be ready to protect consent and safety.
